Happy Valentine’s Day! It seems this year… I’m without a Valentine, but why?
There are some simple answers to a question like that, in general it could be: (1) No one loves me, (2) No one likes me, or (3) I’m just an obscenely unattractive human being!
I find myself perplexed because none of those answers fit. So what’s the deal? As I sit back and wonder about the past few months of my life… I question the concept. And we all make decisions that we have to live with… relationships long past that were ended prematurely, maybe for reasons of circumstance or personal…
But tomorrow I’ll spend half the day with people in a Psychiatric Hospital where I work and the other half by myself.. because plans are made to change. Sadly… I, nor anyone else, can have everything want.
We love what we cannot have. I love what is too far for me to touch, to hold, to be with.
And that is how I spend my Valentine’s Day. I hope you are surrounded with those that bring you joy and happiness on this day of hearts!

After breaking up only TWO DAYS before V-day, I've appreciated having an honorary Valentine for the day. Thank you.
